AML / KYC / KYT policy

Revision of October 24, 2026

This policy describes how JETBOT Exchange counters money laundering and terrorism financing: transaction screening (KYT), customer identification (KYC) and jurisdiction restrictions.

Definitions

AML / CFT
Anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism.
KYT (Know Your Transaction)
Screening incoming transactions for links to high-risk sources.
KYC (Know Your Customer)
Identifying the Client and verifying the source of their funds.
Risk score
An estimate of how closely an address or transaction is linked to prohibited sources, determined by blockchain analytics services.
Service, Client, Order
Same meaning as in the exchange terms.

Principles

  1. The Service follows FATF recommendations and takes into account UN, OFAC (US) and European Union sanctions lists.
  2. The Service applies a risk-based approach: the depth of checks depends on the amount, frequency of operations and risk of the funds.
  3. Disputed cases are reviewed by the Service's AML officer. Each Order is decided individually.
  4. The Service does not process operations on behalf of third parties and does not accept funds whose origin the Client cannot explain.

Transaction screening (KYT)

  1. Incoming USDT transactions are screened for risk: automatically when the payment is received, and manually by an operator when there are risk indicators.
  2. If the risk is high or the transaction is linked to prohibited sources, the Order is suspended with the "AML check" status. No payout is made until the check is complete.
  3. The Service may analyze the whole chain of transactions, not only the sender's address.

Prohibited sources of funds

The Service does not accept funds connected with:

  • darknet markets and illegal platforms;
  • mixers and anonymization services (Tornado Cash, Sinbad, Wasabi CoinJoin and similar);
  • sanctioned exchanges and services (Garantex, Grinex, Bitzlato and similar);
  • theft, hacks, fraud, Ponzi schemes and ransomware;
  • terrorism financing and addresses on sanctions lists;
  • any other activity prohibited by law.

Customer identification (KYC)

  1. No verification is required for a regular exchange within the limits.
  2. The Service may request verification if: the transaction risk is high; the amount or frequency is unusual; the Payout details belong to another person; the Client's data is inconsistent; a competent authority has made a request.
  3. The Service may request:
    • a photo of an ID document (passport, ID card or driving licence);
    • a selfie with that document and a sheet reading "JETBOT Exchange", the date and the Order ID;
    • a photo of the bank card showing the first 6 and last 4 digits and the name, with the CVV covered, or a bank statement;
    • proof of the source of funds: exchange transaction history or statement, withdrawal screenshots, contracts;
    • a video in which the Client shows the wallet and the transaction, if necessary.
  4. Documents must be provided within 7 business days. The deadline can be extended at the Client's request.
  5. Documents are accepted via support: live chat, Telegram or support@jetbot.site.

Outcomes of a check

  1. If the check is passed, the Order is executed. If the check took more than 24 hours, the Client chooses: exchange at the Rate at the time the check ends, or a USDT refund.
  2. If the Client does not provide documents in time or refuses the check, USDT is returned to the sender's address minus the Network fee within 48 hours.
  3. If a link to criminal activity or sanctions is confirmed, the Service may hold the funds pending a decision of the competent authorities and share information about the operation upon a lawful request.
